Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Dawson & Wikoff Colonial Chapel North with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Visitation will be noon to service time Wednesday. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wells was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Chicago, the son of Charles R. and Martha Bassiler Wells. He owned and operated Don's Tavern in Decatur for 37 years. He married Dolores M. Jennings Nov. 5, 1947, in Truman, Ark.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Donald E. Wells Jr. and wife Debby Lee, Duane S. Wells, Danny T. Wells and Douglas T. Wells and wife Robyn, all of Decatur; daughter, Debby S. Maxwell of Decatur; 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
