Lee, Gertrude Viola Atkins (Tseu), age 90, of Maryville, formerly of Madisonville, passed away suddenly, Saturday, April 23, 2011 into the arms of her loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As she always told her children, her initials "GAL" stood for "God's Amazing Love". As our Christian mother, she taught us that from love, through love, touches love and goes on and on forever. Born May 16, 1920 in Madisonville to the late Joe & Phoebe Torbett Atkins. A graduate of Monroe County Central High School in 1938. An accountant for Tate's Building Supply, Madisonville for 22 years. Retired from Blevins Paint & Decorating Center of Maryville, but to her, her greatest accomplishment was her children. A talented artist in hand designed china, Christmas dishes, ceramics, quilts and decoupage that she lovingly made for her children and friends. Member of the First Baptist Church of Madisonville for 90 years and was a member of the Hope Sunday School class. The old bell tower of the church was built by her father. Survivors, daughters & sons-in-law, Barbara & George Marcu, Killen, Alabama, Peggy and Jerry Blevins, Maryville, Cheryl Lee, Madisonville; son & daughter-in-law, Robert Joe & Elaine Lee, St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren and spouses, Debbie and Brian Green, David Marcu, Jay and Lisa Blevins, Scott and Mary Blevins, Todd and Linda Snyder, Robert Joe, II and Julia Lee, Michael and Kelley Farmer, Travis and Blair Farmer, Jacqueline Michelle Howe and Bryan Johns; great-grandchildren, Kasey Nicole Green, Heather and Will Colby Green, Paul Hunter, Olivia Marcu, Macy, Jacob, Daniel and Jessica Blevins, Alex and Kyle Snyder, Taylor and Anna Lee, Indiana and Garrett Johns; sister, Gena Margaret Atkins Aiken, Maryville ; several special nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law & brother-in-law, Faye Watson, Madisonville, Jodie and George Holland, Maryville, Patsy Lee, of Madisonville; former husband and beloved friend, Albert K. Tseu; former brothers-in-law, Larry and Joseph Tseu, all of Honolulu, HI; former daughter-in-law, Nina Lee, Sweetwater; former step-children, Darryl Tseu, Alaska, Clayton Tseu, Honolulu, HI, Li Ann Tseu, San Francisco, CA, Jade Tseu, Salt Lake City, UT; special friends, Betty Roberts, Louise Lee & Janie Wong. Preceded in death by first husband, Robert Taylor Lee, Jr., sister, Gladys Wilson, brother, Alfred Atkins. Funeral 7 P.M. Friday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Curtis Woods officiating.
