Daughter of James Wesley Brister & Della Price (Wells) Brister. Sister to Rubie "Jewell" (Brister) Randle, Luther Jehue Brister, Elsie "Marie" (Brister) Bailey, Ollie Edward Brister, Mary "Louise" (Brister) Adams, & Dorothy Elizabeth "Dot" (Brister) Frazier.

Funeral services for Miss Bertha Brister, 54, who died at 6:45 a.m. Monday in a local hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Today at Clifford Jackson Chapel. The Rev. Allen Webb, pastor of Second Baptist Church, will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. J. F. Frazier, pastor of the Baptist Church in Ingram, Texas. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park.

Miss Brister of 1425 Papaya Courts had lived in Corpus Christi for the past two years. She was a native of Mississippi and had lived in Texas since 1913.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. J. W. Brister, and one brother, Luther J. Brister, both of Corpus Christi, and three sisters, Mrs. John W. Randall of Lancaster, Texas, Mrs. John T. Frazier of Forth Worth, and Mrs. A. F. Bailey of Grenada, Miss.

Pallbearers will be George Waters, Joe LaBanco, Bruce Brooks, Russell Noel, Travis Burt and Bob O'Banion.
