Mikiel Floyd Parks, 48, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carl Wood in Memphis Texas. Mr. Parks was survived by his wife, Kate Parks, his daughter, LaNora Wood and two sons, Leon and MB of Afton and Memphis, Texas and three brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren, Vicky Dale Parks and Renee Wood. Mr. Parks formerly lived in Cottle County and Dickens Counties. The family moved to Memphis in 1949. A deacon of the First Baptist Church, Mr. Parks farmed near Memphis. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Memphis by Rev. Roy Shahan. The body of Mr. Parks was returned to Paducah late Monday afternoon for interment in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Murphy-Spencer Funeral Directors of Memphis.
