FUNERAL SERVICES MONDAY FOR MRS. M.E. ISHERWOOD

Funeral services were held at the Sebeka Memorial Hall Monday afternoon for Mrs. Marion E. Isherwood, whose death occurred on Wednesday, June 30, in a car accident near Missoula, Montana.
It has always been hard for the publisher of this paper to chronicle the death of old friends and neighbors during the thirty-two years at the helm of the Review and now when it becomes his sad duty to pen these lines, of the death of his beloved wife and pal who labored with him in getting out this little weekly in the early days, it is doubly difficult.
Ella Mae Davidson was born in Wadena, Minnesota, on March 4, 1884 and she was joined in matrimony with Marion E. Isherwood of Sebeka on April 10, 1906. They commenced housekeeping in Sebeka at once and lived here during their entire wedded life. Her husband and three sons, Harry, Robert and Mark, are left to cherish the memory of a devoted and self-sacrificing wife and mother. A woman whose thoughts were ever for her loved ones and friends and the hundreds who gathered at the last sad rites Monday and the profusion of floral offerings gave mute testimony as to how she lived in this community for so many years. Deceased was a member of the Wadena Eastern Star and for thirty-one years was a devoted member of the Dorcas Circle of the M.E. Church, serving with the circle in the ranks, as secretary and president, during those long years.
Rev. J.E. Jansen of the Wadena Congregational Church, conducted the funeral services and the remains were gently laid to rest in the village cemetery. Friends from far and near gathered to pay her the last respects and the large hall was inadequate to hold the hundreds who gathered.
Her life was full of good and kind deeds and to us, the husband and boys, it is comforting to know that she has gone to that place where supreme happiness and contentment reign.
