Dick Grissom was born on April 28, 1924, in Paris, Arkansas, and departed this life on Wednesday, August 20, 2003, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 79.

Dick was the son of Elmer and Nellie Dixon Grissom. He married Dorthy Walden on August 13, 1972, in Prague. A retired machinist, he was a resident of Prague for over 30 years. Dick was a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1957, the Methodist Church, and enjoyed gardening and restoring covered wagons.

His parents, two brothers, two sisters, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and two brothers-in-law preceded him in death.

Survivors include: wife; two sons and daughter-in-laws; two daughters & son-in-laws; daughter-in-law & husband; brothers and sister-in-law; brother-in-law; three sisters and brothers-in-law; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 22, 2003, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., at Parks Brothers Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2003, 2:00 PM, at the Parks Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Starland Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole County, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
