Priel Nielson Anderson 1908 ~ 2006 Priel Nielson Anderson, 97, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on May 10, 2006 at the Crosslands Care Center in Sandy, Utah. Priel was born October 29, 1908 in Sanford, Conejos, Colorado, daughter of Erastus Anthon and Mary Maud Taylor Nielson. She grew up in Mapleton, Utah. Her father died when she was 6-years-old and she, along with her sister and two brothers, assumed the burden of helping to support their mother who struggled with rheumatoid arthritis. Hard work and caring for others was always a big part of her life. She graduated from Springville H. S. in 1926 and moved to Salt Lake City where she met and married Ezra Hansen Anderson in the Salt Lake Temple. She became the mother of six children, who were the joy of her life. She helped her husband in many ways running a grocery store and service station, managing apts and a tourist court (motel). She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in the Relief Society on a ward and stake basis. Priel's husband, Ezra, passed away May 5, 1972, leaving Priel to oversee her wonderful family for 34 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, William (Bill) and Anthon Ray Nielson and her only sister, Thelma Sudweeks, one grandson, Brandon Shawn Anderson. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Ruth Gubler Nielson, LaVerkin, Utah; her six children, James E. (Mary Beth) Anderson, St. George, Utah, Blaine L. (Nadine) Anderson, Draper, Utah, Mary Kay (Denny) Burgess, Lehi, Utah, David N. (Nola) Anderson, Monroe, Washington, Paul A. Janet) Anderson, So. Jordan, Utah, Laraine (Hal) Robinson, Afton, WY; 25 grandchildren, 59 great-grand children and nine great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Lake Hills Memorial, 10055 South State Street, Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 12:00 Noon, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment at Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery.
