John B. Brenn, who died Wednesday, aged 69 years, was employed for the past forty-one years as foreman of the carpenters of the Ulster & Delaware Railroad, and was one of the best known men in this city. He was born in the town of Roxbury and had been a resident of Kingston since 1878 when he entered the employ of the railroad. In August of 1919 ill health caused him to stop work and he gradually grew weaker, and had been confined to his bed at his home, No. 385 Broadway, since the latter part of December of last year. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Raymond J. Brenn, a machinist in the U. & D. shops, and Vivian F. Brenn, bookkeeper with the National Ulster County Bank; a brother, George Brenn, of Hobart, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Sheflin of Grand Gorge. Mr. Brenn was long an active member of the Reformed Church of the Comforter, and was a man who was held in high esteem by all who knew him. The funeral will be held from the late residence Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
