John A. Dasher Died Suddenly Monday Morning

John Alexander Dasher,60,died at his home here early Monday morning after a brief illness. He was a member of Philadelphia Lodge No. 73 F. & A.M.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Maggie Moody Dasher, a daughter, Mrs. Dennis Smith of Glennville; a son, John Arthur Dasher of Chanute Field, ill.; five sisters, Mrs. R.F. Watterson and Mrs. A.W. DeLoach of Savannah, Mrs. T.D. NeSmith of Claxton, Mrs. W.T. Hitt of Cross City, Fla., and Mrs. W.G. Groover of Miami, Fla.; a brother, W.W. Dasher of Glennville and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Beard's Creek Primitive Baptist church with the Rev. Cliff Stubbs and the Rev. John Ivey officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery directed by Rimes Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Hymie Lipsitz, Claude Odum, B.D. Blitch, Lucious Kennedy, F.E. Phillips and Leslie Griner. Hooray escort were member of the local Masonic Lodge and members of the lodges in Ludowici and Claxton.
