----------
Sophia was attending the University of Kansas in Lawrence when she met and married Arthur Edward Tuttle. Sadly, Arthur and Sophia were unable to have children, but they were quite involved with the extended Tuttle/Park family.
Arthur died in 1949, at only 47 years old. A few years later, Sophia married Wallace H. Taylor. As Sophia had remained close to the Tuttle family even after Arthur's death, she is buried within the Tuttle family plot, with her second husband, Wallace, beside her.
In the photo, Sophia and Wallace are the two rectangular markers toward the front, and Arthur shares the large red headstone in the center with his mother, Lillian Elmira Hook Tuttle.
