Melvin Vernon Anderson of Rancho Santa Fe, California Died Saturday June 18, 2011 peacefully of natural causes. He was born to Calvin and Margaret Ann Hancock Anderson March 27, 1922. He Married Mary Watson Anderson June 4, 1942. He is survived by his companion Barbara Bray; four children: Carol and husband Theron Egg, Katherine and husband Charles Walters, Robert (Bob) Anderson and wife Jan, Yvonne and husband Lewis King, and Joan Parge, one sister Patsy and many grand to great great grand children. He is preceded in death by parents, first wife Mary Anderson, sisters Buela and Wanda , one brother Chester and four grandchildren Aaron Egg, Donald Atkins, James King and Ashley Anderson. A cremation took place Thursday June 24, 2011 in Lake Elsinore, California with private family services to follow. He left a posterity of 4 children, 19 Grandchildren, 48 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was a wonderful friend and father who touched many hearts and will be missed by all who knew him.
