Pierre Sr.'s parents - John Baptiste Descomps (1674-1716) and Anne-Marie Courrapied, also known as Mary Ann Courrapied (1676-1712), married in 1693 in LaRochelle, France. They were living there when their son - Pierre Henri Descomps dit Labadie - was born. Pierre Henri emigrated to Canada where he married Angelique LaCelle in Notre Dame Ile-de-Montreal in 1727. The family moved from Canada to Detroit around 1740.

Pierre and Angelique had nine children: Joseph, born 1728; Antoine Louis, born 1732; Margaret Angelica, born 1734; Mary Joseph, born 1737; Marguerite, born 1738; Pierre, Jr., born 1742; Alexis, born 1746; and Elizabeth, born 1749.

Gravesite Details

All graves were relocated from the Ste-Annes Church Cemetery to their final resting place in a mass grave in Mount Elliott Cemetery in 1869.
