James appears to have first married Sarah Coryell September 4, 1885 in Havana.

He next married Mrs Sallie Clark Greenwalt July 12 1890 in Havana. Particulars of that marriage license:

James was 28, residing in Chicago, born in Mason County, it was his second marriage. He was the son of Thomas Trent and Eliza Tibbs.

Sallie was 30 years, residing in Havana, born in Selvin, Warren County Indiana. It was her third marriage. She was the daughter of A. J. Clark and L.A. Napper.

Witnesses to the marriage were William and Anna Saults.

(Sarah's age listed on the marriage license is questionable, she was most likely older at the time of this marriage)

Based on this info, Sarah appears to be the daughter of Andrew Clark and Louisiana Nappin/Napper. She is the sister of Wren Clark, Anna Clark Saults and William Clark who are buried in Laurel Hill. She is also the half sister of Charley Thomas buried in Laurel Hill. Charley and Wren are buried in the same lot.

Probable siblings are Henry Clark and Nancy Jane Clark Howard who are also buried in Laurel Hill.

Their mother Louisiana/Lucy Ann married Andrew Clark and later married Isaac Thomas in 1864.

Sarah is found on the 1870 census in the home of her mother and siblings in Sangamon County. She is listed as Sarah Kisler.

1870 census:
Luzana Thomas 40
William Clark 24
Sarah Kisler 21
Ann Clark 17
Wren Clark 15
Nancy Clark 15
John Clark 12
Henry Clark 10
Charles Thomas 4
