Genaro "Jerry", a resident of Upper San Pedro, was preceded in death by his parents, Luís and Benigna Maestas, brothers, Frank and Simon Maestas, sisters, Ernestina Montoya and Isabel Blea and nephews, Joseph Polaco and Michael Roybal.
Jerry was survived by his wife, Flora Maestas of San Pedro, son, Jerry Maestas of Albuquerque, daughters, Barbara Tubb of Santa Fé and Mary Beth Maestas of Arlington, Virginia, grandchildren, Ashlee Tubb and Tomás Martínez of Ojo Caliente, NM and Nicholas Tubb of Seattle, Washington, sisters, Mary Naranjo, Sally Roybal and her husband, Ted, all of San Pedro, NM, brother, Phil Maestas and his wife, Cathy of San Diego, CA and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Genaro was retired from LANL, after 28 years of service.
Genaro was very active at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Genaro adored his family and spending time with his family who will miss him greatly. Genaro also loved working in his garden and always had his yard looking nice.
Pallbearers will be Kino Quintana, Andy Steck, Gene Salazar, Mike Montoya, Dominic Roybal and Larry Naranjo. Honorary pallbearers will be Rudy Polaco, Peter Romero, Matthew Romero and Rick Salazar.
