Adela R. Mynaugh, age 84, of White Rock, NM, passed on to our heavenly father on Saturday, December 30, 2006.
Adela was born on April 29, 1922, in Newkirk, NM to Don Simon Romo and Dona Genoveve Baca Romo.
Adela was united in marriage to Charles F. Mynaugh on August 3, 1965 at Saint Rose de Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, NM.
In her lifetime, she graduated from Santa Rosa High School, was employed at Romero Drug Store in Las Vegas and Selective Service in Santa Rosa. Adela was later employed by the New Mexico Department of Alcohol and Tobacco. Adela retired from the Los Alamos National Labs in the 1980s and was a resident of Las Vegas for the last three years.
Family and friends will remember her as a kind and gentle soul who enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and caring for all of God's creatures. Adela was devoted to her family. Adela was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas.
Adela was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles F. Mynaugh of White Rock, NM, brothers, Cristobal Romo and Napoleon Romo and sisters, Annie R. Bartz and Nora Romero.
Adela is survived by siblings, Mary R. Márquez, of Las Vegas, NM and Ben (Pat) Romo of Las Cruces, NM, brother-in-law, Dale Bartz of Midland, TX, sister-in-law, Alice Romo of Dallas, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2007, followed by a Rosary at 3:00 p.m., both in the Berardinelli Family Chapel in Santa Fé. A Funeral Mass will be recited on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Santa Fé, followed by interment at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM.
