Jeremias was preceded in death by parents his parents, Marcos and Manuelita Trujillo and first wife, Elisaida Trujillo.
Jerry was survived by his wife, Tillie D. Trujillo of Española, sons, Marcos Trujillo and his wife, Esther of El Rancho and Jeremy James Trujillo and his wife, Henriette of El Rancho, six grandchildren, Jill Montoya and her husband, Michael, Jackie Gregory, Crystal Trujillo, Aaron Trujillo, Gabriel Trujillo and Anna Trujillo, two great-grandchildren, Hope and Faith Montoya, of Albuquerque and step-children, Patsy Torres (Leonard Valdéz), Ron Dowdy and his wife, Karen, Tom Dowdy and his wife, Gail, Richard Dowdy Jr. and his wife, Susie and James Dowdy and his wife, Georgia.
Jerry was a charter member of Los Matachines de El Rancho. Jerry was very active in the Senior Olympics. Jerry also loved to dance, play bingo, travel and pursue his traditional culture.
Jeremias was a World War II veteran and served in the United States Army.
Public visitation and devotional service will be on October 10, 2005 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Oct 11, 2005, also in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel. Burial will follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Augustin Roybal, Aaron Trujillo, Gabriel Trujillo, Leonard Valdéz, Juan López and Johnny Quintana. Honorary pallbearers will be step-daughter, Patsy Torres, step-sons, Richard Dowdy Jr., Tom Dowdy and Ron Dowdy and step-grandsons, James Dowdy and Everet Whaley.
