"Rob" was !presente! in the struggle for Native people after Wounded Knee. He was at Dalton Pass on the Dine rez, helping support sovereignty and Treaty Rights and opposing uranium mining. He supported the struggle of United Farm Workers in the San Joaquin Valley.
He supported his nephew, Malcolm Jamal Cooper and local progressive organizations working for change, putting his money where his mouth was, 'Doc' nurtured community without the need for personal accolades. He was truly a justice/peace supporter.
He will be sorely missed by his brothers, Allen Cooper and Terry Fox; his partner, Kathleen; and his nephew, Malcolm Cooper.
