Sam was born in Clinton, IN.
Sam honorably served his country in the Army-Air Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theatre of Command.
Sam moved to Albuquerque in 1957 where he met and married Kay in 1961.
Sam enjoyed retirement, traveling with his wife and became a grandfather at the age of 77.
Sam will always be remembered as a "good and faithful servant of the Lord".
Sam is survived by his wife, Kay, sons, Sam Jr. and his wife, Laura, Robert and his wife, Marlene, daughter, Crystal, grandchildren, Chad, Natalie, Kiersten, Jacob and Matthew and brother, Carl and his wife, Mary Jane.
A reception celebrating Sam's life will be held on Monday, July 6, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at French Mortuary Westside Location, Albuquerque, NM. Interment at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM, will take place at a later date.
