Saturnino served his country honorably from January 5, 1942 through October 23, 1945. His unit of assignment was Company A, 16th Tank Battalion. He served in the European Theater for 19 months. Decorations/Citations: European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with Bronze Arrowhead, Good Conduct Medal. Battles and Campaigns: Rhineland Central Europe, Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes. Prior to his military service he was employed as a Truck Driver, throughout the State. After Saturnino's military service he was employed by Lockwood Construction Company and other construction companies, throughout the State, as a laborer. His last years of full time employment he worked for the Zia Company, in Los Alamos, New Mexico. As a senior citizen he was employed part time with the National Forest Service. After retirement he enjoyed driving around to visit family and friends. He also enjoyed walking at the parks. Memberships: La Union Protectiva, VFal (Life), American Legion (Life), Laborer's Union #1.
