Darlene Mogen, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1977, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Philip Mogen; son, Mark Mogen and wife, Karen of Aberdeen, SD; daughter, Karen Mogen of Albuquerque, NM, son, Thomas Mogen and wife, Florence of Radford, VA; sister, Lois Yost of Eldridge, IA; 11 grandchildren; Corey, Melissa, Elizabeth, Matthew, Allison, Rebecca, Philip, Charles, Will, Walker, and Sam. Darlene was raised on a farm in Hand County, South Dakota during the depression and was educated as a Pharmacist at South Dakota State University. She worked throughout her life as a pharmacist in South Dakota, New Jersey, Illinois, Virginia, and in New Mexico. Darlene was active in her bridge club, book club, needlepointing, and bowling league with her friends.
She was an avid reader and loved to collect antiques and especially loved playing board and card games with her grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, Albuquerque, NM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the First Presbyterian Church or All Faiths Receiving Home 1709 Moon St. NE, 87112-3973.
