Arley was born in Kirkland, WA to Alfred and Mary (Dalgleish) Haight, the fourth of four children, Earl, Hylda and Douglas. Arley was raised in Kirkland and was a cheerleader at Kirkland High.

Arley married Johannes Andriesen and to this union were born Lawrence Bruce and Darrell Scott. Joe was killed in an airplane crash in Alaska during the Korean conflict.

Arley married Herman C. Christianson in 1952 and to this marriage were born Leigh June and Sigurd Edward. Hermie and Arley raised their family in Tustin, CA, residing on Zig Zag Way, and it was the center of many activites.

Arley was involved in her children's school and scouting activities. She was an avid garage saler, bridge player and people watcher. The family relocated back to the Northwest to rejoin their extended family in 1989. Arley was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and both spouses.

She is survived by children, Larry (Lori) Andriesen, Darrell (Janice) Andriesen, Leigh Christianson and Sigurd Christianson; step daughter Cathy Christianson; grandchildren Eric, Devin, Brett, David and Bryan Andriesen, and Malia Christianson; and many beloved nieces and nephews, in-laws and out-laws, and so many wonderful friends. The family wishes to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Merrill Gardens and the Garden House.

Burial at Tahoma National Cemetery on Tues, Jan 28 at 11:30am and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb 15 at a place and time to be announced later. Remembrances may be made to Snohomish County Hospice. Published in The Herald (Everett) on Jan. 28, 2003
