Myrtle Irene (Rogers) Byram, daughter of Harcourt Rogers.

Myrtle Irene Rogers married Roy Meacham Byram on April 28, 1916 in Burt Co., Nebraska.

Myrtle Irene Rogers and Roy Meacham Byram children are:

Richard Roger Byram b. 1917
Roxene Gloria Byram b. 1917
Charles Earl Byram b. 1918
Beth June Byram b. 1920
Roy Melcom Byram b. 1922
Janice Irene Byram b. 1932
John Arnold Byram b. 1934

Myrtle was born on her grandparents homestead located outside a few miles of Anthon, Woodbury Co., Iowa. During the Civil War days there were many uprisings of the Sioux Indian tribe. Council Bluffs, Iowa was the nearest fort. Her grandparents always kept a trunk that was packed with bedding and many other items so they could take a quick exit to the fort. Harcourt Rogers, Myrtle's father, was the first white child born in the Little Sioux River in Iowa. There is a possibility that Myrtle Roger's family are the descendants of the Thomas Rogers who came to America on the Mayflower ship.
