Tilman La Fon Clanton, of Anderson, passed peacefully while surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.
La Fon was born and lived in Mississippi until the family moved to Vacaville in 1957.
La Fon served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he was wounded in action.
La Fon loved to paint, to ride motorcycles, and to spend time with family and friends.
A memorial service conducted by Bishop Brent Nation will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 360 Portsmouth Dr., Vacaville.
