Mrs. Lucille Irene Butler, 70, of 19525 Fisher Ave., Poolesville, died Monday, Feb. 15, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Gorman Lee Butler.

Born in Nebraska, she was a daughter of the late Albert J. and Mable Edwards Cox.

Mrs. Butler was a member of Poolesville Memorial United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Rebakahs and Monocacy Homemakers.

Surviving are three children, Roland L. Butler of Columbia, Joyce K. Yates of Frederick and Albert G. Butler, Walkersville; three brothers, Eugene Cox of Florida, Stanley Cox of Missouri, Gayland Cox of Nebraska; and 11 grandchildren.

Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Poolesville Memorial United Methodist Church, Poolesville. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
