KULCSAR

Kulcsar, Mrs. Maydine L., Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Kalamazoo passed away Saturday evening, August 23, 2003 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Sarasota.

She was born May 1, 1924 in South Bend, Indiana, daughter of the late J Clyde and Helen (Shrider) Morningstar.

Maydine married John Kulcsar May 27, 1945 in South Bend. Mrs. Kulcsar was an active member of the Oakwood Bible Church in Kalamazoo, where she was president of the Woman's Missionary Society, taught children's church, and was a Child Evangelism Five-Day Club teacher.

She is survived by four children, Sharon (James) Jenkins of Galesburg, Larry (Wendy) Kulcsar of Portage, Craig (Denise) Kulcsar of Gobles, and Wendy (Harold) Schumaker of Palm Harbor, Florida; nine grandchildren, Joy, Paul, Krista, Kelly, Ryan, Wendy, Nicole, Miranda, and Brook; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Morningstar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and a brother, Jr. Clyde Morningstar.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kulcsar will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Langel and Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Rev. Michael Eleveld, of Berean Baptist Church, officiating. Committal services will be at 2:30 p.m. at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Friends may visit with Maydine's family on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Kalamazoo County.
