The Oklahoman, Feb 22, 1949: Services for Bump P. Brinkley, 56, of 45 1/2 Bashline, will be announced by Sherman Funeral Home, Britton. Brinkley died of a cerebral hemorrhage Monday morning in Mercy Hospital. He was a farmer and stockman. Born in Wilburton, he moved to Maysville, Garvin County in 1916 and to Oklahoma City in 1934.
Survivors are his wife, Oza; seven daughters, Mrs Dude Daniels, Britton; Mrs J. D. Walker, 1015 NW 10; Mrs Ralph Nicoloni, 5815 NW 41; Mrs A. L. Koots, Britton; Mrs Orb Boxwell, Whittier, CA; Mrs L. C. Johnson, Glendale, CA; and Miss Janice Lee Brinkley, home address; a son, Jimmy Paul, home address; three brothers, Russ, Dos Palos, CA; Lewis, city; Wes, Ft Worth, TX; two sisters, Mrs Emma Maple, Vega, TX; and Mrs Frank Heide, Oceanside, CA; and his mother, Mrs. Lue Brinkley, Maysville, OK.
