Patty A. Lemley, age 88, of Urbandale, IA passed away May 12, 2023 surrounded by her
daughters.

She was born in Centerville, Iowa on June 23, 1934 to Charles and Grace Feeley. Patty had one sister, Marilyn, and they loved spending time in her dad's automotive shop watching him
work.

Patty married her high school sweetheart, Larry K. Lemley, on June 20, 1954. After the couple married, they moved to Ames as Larry was finishing Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, they spent a short time in Montana where Larry practiced medicine. They enjoyed fishing, hunting, horseback riding, archery and trapping. Patty had a love for wildlife and any animal that Larry or her daughters brought home. The couple settled in Fort Dodge, Iowa where they raised their four daughters.

Over the years, Patty has traveled to various places around the world. She enjoyed painting, making jewelry and knitting her signature fur pom-pom hats. Patty had a great sense of humor and a love for Jimmy Fallon. She was kind, generous, witty and had
an eye for fashion. She volunteered her time at Unity Point and various charities while living in Des Moines. She was a mother, daughter, grandmother, mentor and our best friend.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Lewis (Bill), Kathy Williams (Steve), Leanne Carr (Dan), and Libby Byers (Garrett); nine grandchildren and four great -grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her spouse Larry, parents Charles and Grace, sister Marilyn, and grandchild, Megan.

Celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Private family burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Mystic, IA.
