Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Roop Chupp, 82, long time resident of the Howe community were held from the Shoup Funeral Home in Howe this afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. Rev. G. Allen Steeby of the Lima Evangelical Church officiated, and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery at Howe.
Mrs. Chupp's death occurred on Monday morning, following an illness of two weeks' duration. She had suffered a paralytic stroke.
Her husband, George Washington Chupp, died a year ago in June. Surviving are a son, Clyde, who resided with the aged mother, a brother, Jake Roop of Traverse City, Michigan, and a sister, Mrs.Maude Gorrell of Hudson, Indiana.
Mrs. Chupp was born in DeKalb County, Indiana May 10, 1859. She and Mr. Chupp were united in marriage in LaGrange in November, 1881, and resided in the community where she died during their entire married life.
She was a member of the Evangelical Church.
