Parents of Albert Warren Howard were Joseph H Howard and Cassa J Swain.

Albert Warren (Doc) Howard died suddenly Friday night, May 23 at home at Route 1, Cleveland. He was 80 years of age. He had engaged in farming and ranching at Tarkington Prairie for the past 48 years.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 25, in the Pace-stancil memorial Chaped with the Rev. G. M. Coe, pastor of Mims Memorial Baptist Church, Conroe and the Rev. Johnny Johnson also of Conroe officiating.

Interment was in the Cleveland Cemetery, Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in charge. Active pallbears were Johnny Majnik, Ed Davison, Lyn Tanner, A. H. Duncan, Boyce Thomas and Ray Dishong.

Honorary pallbears included Pete Davis, Wallace Johnson, Odis Hair, Dr. Eli Davison, Clyde Young and A. A. Richards.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Howard of Route 1, Cleveland; five daughters Mrs. Erma Reed, Miss Elma Rae Howard, Miss Mary Emma Howard and Mrs. Mildred Hill all of Cleveland and Mrs. Alice Keyser of Navasoto.

Also two sons, R. J. Howard and Albert W. Howard, Jr. both of Cleveland; four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
