KAUT, Ralph, 84, of Tucson, Arizona passed away surrounded by his family on March 12, 2003, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 16, 1918 to George and Harriett Kaut of Arroll, MO. He served in the US Air Force in WWII as a P-51 aircraft mechanic and was discharged from Davis Monthan Air Force Base following the war. He lived in Vinton, Iowa, later moved to Tucson where he owned and operated Kauts Exxon dealership.

Ralph is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Dovie; four brothers, Raymond (Loretta) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Calvin (Verna) of Arroll, MO, Tom (Margaret) of Winfield, MO and Harry (Esther) of Arroll, MO and one sister, Marie of Kansas City, MO; three sons, Edward (Karen) Center Pt., Iowa, Gary of Isanti, Minnesota and Michael of Greenville, SC; one daughter, Melva Kimbler of Seaford, Delaware; two stepdaughters, Connie (Ivan) Ericson of Show Low, AZ and Shirley (Steve) Hall-Canatsey of Tucson, AZ; 15 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret; brother, Al; stepson, Bill Sherwood; three grandchildren, Tim Kaut, son of Edward and Karen Maureen Kaut, daughter of Gary and Eric Hall son of Shirley and one great-grandson, Tyler Knutson.

Visitation will be Monday, March 17, 2003 12:00 noon Funeral service 1:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Tucson. Burial East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Ralph, we love and miss you and will cherish our memories of you until we meet again. Arrangements under the direction of EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY in Tucson, AZ.
