"Mrs. Hester P Rose, aged 85 years, widow of William L Rose, died on Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H W Conrow, at Oceanport, with whom she lived. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the Clayton Funeral Home at Adelphia, followed by interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Besides Mrs. Conrow, Mrs. Rose is survived by another daughter, Miss Lillie Belle Rose of near Smithburg; and two sons, George and Wm. Rose, of near Harmony. She was born at Jackson's Mills, and has always been a resident of that section".
