A memorial service for Mr. Loranzie “Bud” Taylor, age 87, of Arlington, TX, formerly of Tenaha, TX, will be held at a later date. Mr. Taylor passed away on Friday afternoon, Jan. 21, 2011, in Arlington, TX. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home in Carthage.

Loranzie “Bud” Taylor was born on Aug. 4, 1923, in the Deadwood Community of Panola County, TX to Johnnie and Lester Ray Taylor. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and also served in the U.S. Civil Service until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Margaret and Sarah Taylor; one brother, Waymon Taylor; one sister, Betsy Loraine Taylor Capps; one son, Thomas Taylor; and one step-granddaughter, Jennifer Putnam.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Ouita Taylor of Arlington; two step-sons, Guerry Putnam and wife Patsy of Duncanville and David Putnam of Arlington; one half-brother, Gene Taylor and wife Sandra of Springfield, MO; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
