Gladys Virginia Henson Williams. Longtime Oklahoma City resident. Mrs Alan D. (Gladys) Wiliams died May 21, 1998 after a lengthy illness. Born May 1, 1912 in Bogard, Missouri, she was preceded in death by her parents, F.R. and Geneva Henson; four brothers, Lloyd, Nick, Don and F.R. Jr and one sister, Nadine Henson Cargill. A graduate of Okmulgee High School, Mrs Williams studied drama at Oklahoma City University and was a graduate of both the University of Oklahoma School of Drama and the Horner Connservatory, Kansas City, MO. Mrs Williams married Alan D. Williams, Sept 8, 1935 and together they established their home in Oklahoma City.

A founding member of First Christian Church. Mrs Williamns was a member of both the Group 2 Christian Women Fellowship and Homebuilders Class. Mrs Williams served as PEO Chapter D.P. President in 1953 and 1954 and at the time of her death was the chapter's only 50 year member. She was also an active member of the Sirloin Club, Sundowners Club and Oklahoma City Book Club. Mrs Williams is survived by her husband of 62 years, Allan D. Williams, of the home; a son, Allan D. Williams II; his wife, Lillian, grandchildren Kevin and Melia, Youngstown, Louisiana; and a daughter, Cynthia Ann Hollingsworth, Oklahoma City. Services will be 10 am Saturday in the Chapel of First Christian Church. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. (Smith & Kernke)
