Raymond was born January 11, 1910, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Otto and Elsie Fieselmann Marotte.
Ray was a retired paper ruler. He had owned and operated Denver Paper Rulers, for 59 years, retiring to Grand Junction, in 1983.
On November 24, 1946, he married Lorena Spor Marotte. She survives.
Ray served in the US Navy and was a musician in the Navy band, while stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. He was a member of the VFW band for 75 years and was the band director for 37 years. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church. Ray never had children, but was a fantastic uncle to a multitude of nieces and nephews. He loved to go fishing and big game hunting. He will recieve military honors.
