Myrtle I. Arnold, 90, Bryan, died early Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1988, in the Hillside Nursing Home. She had been ill for about three weeks. Mrs. Arnold had been employed as a cook at the former Ruth's Restaurant and the former Sheets Restaurant in Bryan. She was a member of the Ney Church of God. Born in Defiance County on Sept. 29, 1898, she was the daughter of Nellie (Philo) and John Ridenour. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Theris) Moog of Ney, Mrs. Robert (Berdena) Jodry of Stryker and Mrs. Richard (Sandra) Fockler of Bryan; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, three brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Greenisen & Tilton Funeral Home, Bryan, with the Rev. Ivan Brubaker of the Ney Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan.
