Lawrence F. (Larry) Warren, age 78, of Fayetteville, Georgia, died July 5, 2007. Mr. Warren retired from Ford Motor Company in 1983 after more than thirty years of service. At the time he retired he was the Traffic Manager of Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, KY. He was a Deacon of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He had been active in the Kiwanis Club of Fayette County for many years where he rose to the position of Lt. Governor of District 7. He served a term as President of the Atlanta Ford Salaried Retiree Club and played a vital role in helping keep that organization active. He was a graduate of Georgia State University and served two years in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Lawrence was born near Dexter, GA and was preceded in death by both his father and mother, Lemuel F. and Nina W. Warren and by four sisters, Virginia Dossey, Sara Harp, Helen Yarbrough and Faye Daniel. He is survived by his wife, Janet N. Warren of Fayetteville and one brother, John W. and Sara M. Warren, of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, especially by all of the children in his extended family and friends; all of them had a very special place in his heart and he loved them all.

Funeral service held July 8 in the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Burial at Morrow City Cemetery.
