Services were held Monday at
Scott's Funeral Home with Rev.
M.V. Hemphill and Kenneth
Southwell officiating. Burial was
in Gatesville City Cemetery.
He was born April 4, 1908, in
Union, son of the late Jim and Lucy
Carroll Estes. He attended school
in Union.
Mr. Estes married Noma May
Woodward on October 23,1932. He
served in World War II from 1943
to 1945, and worked for Civil
Service from 1946 to 1979.
Mr. Estes was a member of VFW
Post 8230 in Gatesville and
Westview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Noma
May Estes of Gatesville; one son,
Carroll Estes of Temple; three
sisters, Lera Nolle of Waco, Edna
Dyson of Gatesville and Aileen
Kreder of Hamilton; and two
grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the
Union Cemetery Association.
