Benton, Cora Louetta, 81, wife of George Benton, passed away suddenly Wed., Feb. 1, 2006. She was born Oct. 15, 1924 in Estill Co., Ky., the daughter of the late Lewis and Bertha Crowe Blanton. She was a retired seamstress and a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Beside her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Loretta Bowling, and Faye Green (Donald); seven grandchildren, Phillip Holloway, Melina Martin, Marita Bowling, Kristie Holloway, Rachelle Burton, Amy Mulloy, and Heather Rutherford; twelve great grandchildren; two half sisters and two half brothers; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewayne Walker officiating. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5 at Whitehall Funeral Chapel.
