Luther I. Lane was the son of Irvin Moses & Melissa Ann (Gaines) Lane.
When I visited this cemetery in Nov 1999, his homemade headstone was lying on the ground, just a few paces from his grandfather Elias Lane's grave marker. It's would be easy to mistaken his middle initial for a 'J' but I traced over it carefully with my finger ... it's definately an 'I'.
