Anna belonged to Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and participated in fund-raising and public service. Anna's passions were family, friends and an insatiable appetite for Bridge. She loved her Social, Duplicate, and Marathon groups.
Anna's open and accepting mind and heart, and genuine interest in others were a wonder and inspiration to those around her. Whomever she met wasn't a stranger long, for she made them feel welcomed, comfortable and accepted in her presence.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who adored her family. She is survived by one great-grandson, Thomas Murray, and one expected in March; grandchild Allyson Edwall-Murray and her husband Michael, grandchildren Chuck and Billy Edwall, son Chuck Edwall and his wife Cathy, daughter Wynne Edwall and her husband John Bergman, and her sister Winifred Short.
Anna is greatly missed by her family and friends. We appreciate the influence, guidance, love and encouragement she has given us.
Services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, Oct 11, 2005 at Fort Rosecrans Cemetery, where she will be interred next to her husband. In lieu of flowers please send donations in her name to the charity of your choice. Published in The San Diego Union Tribune on Oct. 6, 2005.
