Funeral services for Worth C.
Adkins, 1020 Offnere St., are to
be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at
Gill Funeral Home.
Adkins died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday
at his home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1884, In
Sciotoville, a son of Thomas and
Jennetta Rowley Adkins. He was
a retired shoe worker and employee
of the former Selby Shoe Co. here.
Adkins was treasurer o! the Scioto
Lodge of Odd Fellows and was one
of the lodge's veteran 'members. He
had been a member of the lodge
50 years.
Surviving are his wife, Monnie
Reynolds Adkins, whom he married
June 12, 1914; two daughters,
Mrs. Wilma Frazier of Portsmouth
Rt. 6 and Mrs. Lillie Hale of Franklin
Furnace; a step daughter. Mrs. Cecile
Munyon of Marion; a half-sister,
Mrs. Margaret Farby of Scioto Trail;
14 grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, two sons, two step-
daughters, half brother and a
sister.
Adkins was a member of Sciotoville
Church of Christ. Rev. Clifton
McLawhorn is to officiate at services.
Interment to be in Wheelersburg
Cemetery. Friends may call after 5
p m. today at Gill Funeral Home
where the Scioto Lodge of Odd
Fellows is to conduct services at
7:30 p m. Saturday.
