Funeral services for George L. Bolte, 59, who died Monday afternoon in the local hospital following a disking accident at his home on a farm north of Cylinder Sunday after, will be held at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon (Thursday) at the Fairville church. The Rev. Arthur Krueger will officiate.
Interment will be in Fairville cemetery with the Foy Funeral home in charge of arrangements. The pallbearers will be Arthur Bleckwenn, Lloyd Finnestad and Orville Wiener, all of Cylinder, and Dale Long, Ernest Votteler and Albert Bleckwenn, all of Fenton.
George L. Bolte, son of Henry and Caroline Bolte, was born December 4, 1892 at Mt. Vernon township in Black Hawk county. He was united in marriage at the Fairvilie church November 24, 1924, to Miss Viola Gremmels. They lived near Fairville for 40 years, moving there previously from Waterloo.
Mr. Bolte was an active member of the Fairville church. He had one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Ivadell) Walton of Des Moines, and one son, Delond, who lives on a farm near his father's farm home. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Bredlow of Waterloo and Mrs. John R. Timion of Janesville. His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Mr. Bolte also had three grandchildren, Dennis, Diane and Duane Waiton, all of Des Moines.
Mr. Bolte's tragic death was a shock to his many friends and relatives. He was one of the Fairville community's highly respected and well known residents.
