Daily Reporter, Tues. Sept. 24, 1912, p. 3:4. ST. CLOUD MAN IS FOUND DEAD. Henry Hess, Aged 38, Dies From Heart Trouble While In Bed At Home of Casper Eiring. HE HAD NOT BEEN ILL. Body Was Not Discovered Until Monday Afternoon. Henry Hess, aged 38, was found dead in bed at the home of Casper Eiring in St. Cloud at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. Death was due to heart trouble. Mr. Hess had been boarding at the Eiring home since last March, when his mother died. He had assisted Mr. Eiring at various times and was regarded as a capable workman. On Sunday evening Mr. Hess retired at 8 o'clock. He did not complain of feeling ill and so far as can be ascertained he had always enjoyed good health. Although Mr. Hess did not arise at the usual hour Monday morning, nothing was though of the matter as he had often slept late, in the afternoon, however, when knocks at the door of his room brought no response the members of the Eiring family entered the room and discovered that the man was dead. His body was cold and death had evidently taken place during the night. Mr. Hess is survived by his father, an invalid, who lives at Mt. Calvary, and also two half sisters and two half brothers. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from the undertaking parlors in St. Cloud.
