Funeral services for Mrs. Hassie Pearl Reed, 90, of Cookeville, were conducted Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, from the chapel of Rickman Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Davis officiating. Burial was in the Zion Hill Cemetery with Rickman Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Reed died Wednesday, August 29, 2001, at the Masters Health Care Center in Algood. She was a homemaker.
Born September 26, 1910, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late George Birdie and Lucy (Brown) Patterson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son; a brother; and two sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Lorene Reed, Cookeville; and a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Ricky and Liz Reed, McMinnville.
Pallbearers were Jerry Smith, Johnny Smith, Dale Farley, Ricky Reed, Randy Deck, and James Rector.
