Born in Tripolitz, Germany the son of John and Pauline Beier. Paul was one of 12 children. He was educated in Germany. He and his father came to the US in June, 1885 and worked to be able to bring the rest of the family to the US.
On February 21, 1893 he married Sarah Elizabeth Gillaspie in Chillicothe. They farmed southeast of Chillicothe until 13 years ago when they retired and moved into CHillicothe. Their children were: Freta, Harry, Ted, Ernest, Charles and Clarence.
