Howard Randel Griffith, 94, passed from this life on June 24, 2011. He was born to Howard Garrison Griffith and Maude Randel Griffith on January 27, 1917, in Oklahoma City OK. He grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Oklahoma State University. He served four years during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He married Juanita Marcella Zenor on June 7, 1941. He and his wife owned and operated Griffith Nursery in Guthrie for 60 years.
Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
He is survived by wife of 70 years Juanita; daughter Karen Griffith Marx of Norman OK; son Gary Griffith and wife Juli of Manhattan KS; grandsons Jeff Marx of Oklahoma City, Greg Marx of Edmond OK, TSgt Michael Marx and wife Jennifer of San Antonio TX, Aaron Griffith and wife Anya of Irvine CA, and Alan Griffith of Corvallis OR; and eight great-grandchildren.
