Anna Kathlyn Ponds Honeycutt, age 89, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Core officiating. Burial will follow at Ethelsville Community Cemetery in Ethelsville, AL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Honeycutt was born Sunday, April 30, 1922 in Pickens County, AL to the late Will Mac and Addie Wright Ponds. She was a homemaker and a 1940 graduate of Liberty High School in Liberty, Alabama.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lowell Honeycutt, and her daughter Nan Benoit.

Survivors include two daughters, Melinda Pullen (Everette), Columbus, MS, Melissa Alexander (Pete), Caledonia, MS; two sons, Bernice Honeycutt (Kitty), Columbus, MS, Keith Honeycutt, Columbus, MS; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. The Pallbearers will be Jerry Honeycutt, Keith Honeycutt, Jr., Chris Alexander, Jimmy Pullen, Brad Alexander, Charlie Honeycutt, and Austin Dison. The Honorary Pallbearers will be her greatgrandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
