Nancy Lou Michael (Mikolajczyk), 78, passed away May 14, 2011. She was born in Rivesville on May 9, 1933, to the late Roy and Ortola Michael.

Nancy was a very family-oriented individual who unconditionally loved her only grandchildren Ava and Abby, her daughter-in-law Suzanne, and only son Brad.

She was extremely passionate, unselfish and loving. Nancy was an avid sports fan who enjoyed her Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavaliers, and Ohio State Buckeyes as well as the West Virginia University Mountaineers.

She retired from AMF Bowling Products.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dave and Jennings; sisters, Sue and Betty; and parents-in-law, Carrie and Stan Mikolajczyk.

Survivors include her son, Brad (Suzanne); grandchildren, Ava and Abby; brothers, Dick (Lynn), Johnny, Ronnie and Jack; sisters, Bonnie, Donna (Bobby) and Sally; special friends, Greg Mikolajczyk and Shirley McPeek, Mary Ann Allamon, Marietta Baker, Judy Coleman, Betty Yetzer, Ann Feldner; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill (Julie) Mikolajczyk and Ray (Vera) Mikolajczyk.

Memorial gatherings were held May 28 in Akron, Ohio, and June 4 in Shelby, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the McCurdysville Methodist Church, Route 2 Rivesville, WV 26588, with interment at the McCurdysville Cemetery, followed by a dinner prepared and hosted by the McCurdysville Methodist Church members at the McCurdysville Community Building.
