Funeral services for Mr. Fred Carver Webb, 85, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2001, from the chapel of Livingston Church of Christ with Bro. Chris Coil and Bro. Bobby Gore officiating. Burial was in the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Webb died Thursday, August 23, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a retired school teacher, member of the Livingston Church of Christ, Overton County Lions Club, Overton County Retired Teachers Association, and served on the board of directors of Overton County Pacesetters.

Born October 9, 1915, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Oliver Sherman and Dessie (Carr) Webb.

Survivors include his wife, Edna R. Webb, Livingston; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Diana Webb and Danny Webb, all of Livingston; a sister, Elsie Evridge, Michigan; two grandchildren, Eric Webb, Nashville, and Denise Gross, Franklin; two great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mike Garrett, Ray Gilpatrick, Ted Webb, Bruce Harris, Robert McDonald, Bill Warren, Fred Amonett, and Delon Robbins. Serving as honorary pallbearers were the Elders and Deacons of the Livingston Church of Christ, Lions Club, and retired teachers.
