According to records that I found, Sarah Amanda was the daughter of Thomas and Nancy Austin JOHNSON.
Sarah Amanda was the FOURTEENTH (14th) BORN of FOURTEEN (14) CHILDREN.
Records indicate that Sarah and Thomas were married ca. 1855.
Together, they had THREE (3) CHILDREN; James William DUREN, Laura R. DUREN and George Thomas DUREN.
There is also some confusion as to the LAST NAME of Sarah Amanda. Some records I found, showed the last name to be SMITH, others that I found were JOHNSON. IF ANYONE can help with the correct name, I would appreciate it very much.
